Office Hours

Georgia Pain Management and Diagnostics’ regular office hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Medical Emergencies

In the event of a life-threatening medical emergency, call medical emergency services at 911 immediately. DO NOT WAIT! Inform the emergency room staff that you are a patient of Georgia Pain Management and Diagnostics and they will contact us.

After Hours Urgent Medical Needs

If you have an urgent medical need and need to talk to our doctors after our regular hours, please call Georgia Pain Management and Diagnostics at (770) 503-7222. Dr. Herndon is on-call 24 hours a day. Your call will be returned promptly.

Insurance & Payment

At Georgia Pain Management and Diagnostics, we accept most major insurance plans. We do not accept Medicaid or Workers’ Compensation. Please contact your insurance company or you may call our office at (770) 503-7222 to find out if we accept your insurance plan. If your insurance plan requires you to pay a co-payment, co-insurance, and/or a deductible, you will need to pay at the time of your visit. For your convenience, we accept cash, checks, Visa, and MasterCard.

Referrals

If your insurance is an HMO/managed care plan and you are required to obtain a referral from your primary care physician, the referral must be obtained before you can be seen for an office visit. Please coordinate this with your primary care physician in advance. Appointments will be rescheduled if required referrals are not received in the office by the time of your visit.

Prescription Requests

Please be sure to request all medication refills at the time of your office appointment. Dr. Herndon does not call in refills of medications. Prescribing of narcotic medication is never done by telephone. Georgia Pain Management and Diagnostics strictly follows the Georgia Board of Medical Examiner guidelines for chronic pain management. Please anticipate your refill needs to prevent an interruption in your medication supply.
